What We Do

Yes, we walk dogs and care for cats.
But more importantly, we:

Maintain routines that help pets feel secure while their families work or travel

Provide companionship, enrichment, and exercise tailored to each pet

Care for clients’ homes responsibly while they are away

Communicate clearly so clients always know their pets are safe and happy

We take this work seriously because it matters. We are responsible for the

wellbeing of pets and the trust of the families who love them.

At the same time, this work is joyful. Every day looks a little different.

Every pet has a personality. And every visit is an opportunity to make an animal’s day better.

Is This a Good Fit for You?

We love what we do, but this work is not for everyone.

Sit Stay NJ may not be the right fit if:

• You prefer a predictable, fixed daily schedule. Client needs change and flexibility is important.

• Your availability changes frequently. Our clients rely on consistency, sometimes months in advance.

• You are looking for guaranteed full-time hours immediately. Work volume grows with availability and client demand.

• You are not available during holidays or summer months, which are our busiest seasons.

• You do not enjoy working independently for much of the day.

• You dislike working outdoors in all weather conditions.

You are uncomfortable handling the less glamorous parts of pet care.

Messes happen and pets depend on us to handle them professionally.
